Rebecca Samuelson is a Bay Area poet, writer, and editor. She writes from the intersection of caretaking and grief to add fresh perspective to the contemporary poetry landscape.

A recipient of fellowships from Kearny Street Workshop and the Los Angeles Review of Books Publishing Workshop, her dedication to publishing is made evident in every endeavor. Her editorial experiences range from the nonprofit sphere to graduate school literary journals and she is always looking to expand her reach. She has experience in healthcare writing, copyediting, and interviewing.

She received her MFA in Creative Writing Poetry from Saint Mary’s College of California and BA in English Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. Her work has been featured in Transfer Magazine, MARY: A Journal of New Writing, Essential Truths: The Bay Area in Color, PubLab, Wild Greens Magazine, The Racket Journal, and sparkle + blink.
